Taking on the Canadian Health Care System

The Galen Institute and The Heritage Foundation co-hosted a media briefing and policy discussion on “Taking on the Canadian Health Care System” on Tuesday, June 21, 2005. Dr. Chaoulli, who successfully challenged a law in Canada that had banned private health insurance for services covered under medicare, talked about his case and its implications. Other health policy analysts participated in the discussion and offered their views on how the Canadian decision could affect the U.S. health care system.
